Below are the meeting dates, activities, and necessary links for the remainder of our 2024 quilting year!

January 9– Business Meeting with Show and Tell; demo for using the Accuquilt to make the Christmas Stockings for our Community Outreach project.

January 23– Quilt and Fabric Troubleshooting: Members will help you if you have fabric problems or a quilt is giving you an issue (cutting, math, directions, etc.) Bring your fabric problems and UFO’s. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Bring machines if needed to work on projects. There will be some Outreach projects to sew if you wish to help out. Bring your lunch and snacks if you’d like!

February 13th– Business Meeting with Show and Tell. Demo after will be Binding Tricks to help you bind smoother and faster.

February 27th– Brunswick Quilters University (BQU). This was postponed from Sept of 2023. Several classes are taught by members with different types of quilty crafting. Candy Thompson is chairing this. If you signed up in September for a class, you are still signed up. More info will be coming at the Jan and Feb Business meetings.

March 12– Business meeting with Show and Tell.

March 26 - Guest Speaker/Lecturer and workshop: Sandy Fitzpatrick: Splendid Stitches and Machine Magic (fusible applique and decorative stitches). More info to come.

April 9 - Business Meeting with Show and Tell.

April 23- Quilt Kit cutting day; Pick fabrics and have shapes cut by members with Accuquilt machines. Get the kit ready for others to sew, or take and sew yourself. Your choice!

May 14- Business Meeting with Show and Tell. There will be a demo after the meeting on how to make and apply a flange binding.

May 28 – Veteran’s Sew Day

June 11 – Monthly Business Meeting with Show and Tell;

June 25 – Guest speaker- Liz Shropshire

July 9 – Monthly Business Meeting with Show and Tell;

July 23 – Veteran’s Quilts Sew Day

August 13 – Monthly Business Meeting with Show and Tell
