On December 9th Brunswick Quilters held its Annual Christmas Luncheon at the Plantation Grill at Carolina National Golf Club in Winding River. There were over 40 people in attendance. Lunch was delicious thanks to Chef Gary. He's become Brunswick Quilters official chef.
Instead of exchanging gifts this year, UFO's were wrapped in holiday style and placed under the Christmas tree. Everyone received a lace angel ornament with a number attached. When your number was called you got to pick a UFO. It was a cute game and a lot of fun. Some of those UFO's were pretty nice.
Just like years past, gifts were collected for the residents of the assisted living home in Shallotte. It took several trips to carry all the gifts to the car. As always Brunswick Quilters members have shown how generous and charitable they are.
We were treated to Christmas Carols sung by Dee Caudle, Eleanor Hoff and Julia Larsen. What beautiful voices! We all joined in for Silent Night.
Donna Lockwood and Chris Stitcher did a wonderful job organizing the luncheon for us. Thanks to both of you for all of your hard work.
For those of you who missed the party I hope you will think about joining us next year.
