Subject: BQ Meeting Notes June 12, 2007

It was good to see everyone at the meeting on Tuesday.  There was a lot of good stuff going on.   Linda Swanson had a sign up sheet for car pooling to the Quilters By the Sea Quilt Show on Saturday.  Unfortunately, not enough people were interested.  Thank you Linda for your efforts.

Remember, there is no meeting on June 26th due to the lecture and class with Joan Shay on June 18th and 19th.

Please keep Lori and Rick Foss in your thoughts and prayers.  Rick is having surgery.  Also, Joyce DeLucia will be having surgery on Monday.  We wish both of them a speedy recovery.

Membership:

Jeni Kenzel reported that we have had 7 or 8 new members join since our quilt show.  She introduced Kate Landon, Bee Hickey, Barbara Shrek and Janice Prigge at the meeting.  Welcome all.  Please be sure to introduce yourselves to our new members and make them feel welcome.  This brings us to 95 members.

Show and Tell:

We were treated to some lovely quilts for show and tell.  Thanks to Sally Johnson, Julia Larsen, Kathi Leiberg-Strayer, Nina Clark, Karen Harding, and Myra Galloway.  I took pictures of all of your quilts but I have to tell you that I didn't have my card in my camera.  I have had this digital camera since my grandson was born.  He's three.  It's the first time I forgot to put the card in.  So, no pictures.  I'm sorry.
