Path quilt from the Retreat in October.
Cleo Lawrence had her Card Trick blocks
that she won last year put together for us.

quilt that she hand appliqued.
The ever prolific and talented Sally
Robinson had several comfort quilts with her.
Marjorie Eisenman had comfort tops made
out of fat quarters she won.
Ruth Wilding had a lap rag quilt she
made for a wounded soldier in the burn unit in Texas
Danice Paxton brought in a BOM project
she started for a granddaughter that turned into a grandson. She finally
finished it and
it is now waiting for that
granddaughter.
Eleanor Hoff has just about finished
her "knee"quilt. It's the one she started and worked on during
her knee surgery recovery.

with endless borders. Her motto, bet you can't just have one
border. :)

Charity Bee Wanda Williams
Looks like we are on our way.
Several members have decided to join my little bee. We will be having an
organizational meeting
Next Tuesday at Bent Tree Club House at
10AM. Anyone who wishes to join us is welcome. We will be deciding
on a name for our
Bee and also deciding on our first
project. I understand there is a wonderful view of the waterway,
and refrigerator and
Microwave oven we can use. The
only problem with the club house is that it is not handicap accessible.
Any questions about the bee
call me (Wanda) 910-755-5836 or cowabash@atmc.net.
Directions to Bent Tree Club House :

Take your second left to Bent Tree

The clubhouse is right there on the

Tidbits
The Arbor Creek Gals, Linda Pollard,
Nancy Blum, Sandy Young, Caroline VanSise and Pat Gorsline are working on a
quilt to be
Donated to Relay for Life.
Be sure to bring it in to show us before you send it away gals. I know
you'll make us proud.
The Walker Bag project is ongoing
and I will have precut kits with me starting the 27th for anyone who wishes to
take one home
to put together. The need
for these bags never ends as they are not recyclable. We are currently
supplying Autumn Care,
OceanTrail and Dosher with bags and
will start getting bags out to the Senior Centers for those in need.
This is a collaborative
Effort with Beach Quilters, Carolina
Shores and many individuals that send their bags to me to be distributed to the
Nursing Homes and Senior Centers.
A big "thank you "to all of you who make bags for this project.
The residents appreciate it
and I appreciate it.
I know that this has been a long newsletter but it has a lot of
information for everyone. I hope I haven't left anything out. See
you all on the 27th.
