President Wanda Williams explained that there was no current Treasurer’s report since the position was just filled.  The Balance as of December 30,2007 is $10,433.00.  She reminded the members of the suggestion box for either new ideas or any desire of change.  If there were concerns or questions, the business meeting would be where to make them known.  The officers can always use feedback in order to make it the best that it can be for the most members.  She also mentioned that the annual dues of $24.00 are due now and that this change in dues has done away with the dollar attendance fee.

Linda Pollard informed members that the Quilt in the Box was to be finish by February 19th.  There will be a luncheon that day for those participating.  The exchange of blocks will take place then.  She announced that many boxes were still out and, for those who still had the need, to bring a cutting board and cutter to the meeting on the meeting January 26th.

Joyce DeLucia announced that there was still a need for volunteers for Meet the Quilters.  Members filled all the needs.  She asked that those of us who have signed up to bring finger foods have them there on the 15th by 9:30 AM.

Ann Pendred went over the fat quarters, which are musically related, for the year.  She explained that the 50/50 tickets, the fat quarter tickets, special drawing tickets and orders for pizza would all be at front table on the right.  This is to alleviate congestion as we come in to sign attendance sheet.

When asked, the members approved of the change in seating arrangements for the business meetings.

The 50/50 drawing was won by Irene Chandler.  The Project bag drawing was won by Karen Harding.  Wanda Williams won the Fat quarter drawing.  Julia Larsen sang a parody of “ My Favorite Things that Julie Andrews sang at her 69th birthday celebration this year.  The members who gave a lot of laughs and applause enjoyed it.  Wanda Williams introduced a visitor, Charlotte Baker.

Show and Tell brought forth Louisa Jordan, Rosemary Toedter, Eleanor Hoff, Jean Marshall and Julia Larsen who shared some lovely things with the group.

Respectfully submitted,

Karen Harding
